Landscaping Your Home To Gain Buyers!

Posted in Neighborhood, Real Estate on 12.08.09

landscaping-imageNow that we have talked about the paint color for the inside and out, we now need to consider the landscaping portion of your home.  This is where you truly can get creative and I can promise that any prospects are going to definitely appreciate it.  People want to have an interesting backyard and when you provide them with a landscaped backyard, I can assure you that they are going to appreciate everything that it is about.

One thing that you need to know about landscaping is the fact that after about six to eight years, it needs to be changed on around.  This will not only enhance the home, but you will be able to get rid of anything that is outdated or overgrown – so that is going to be your first step.  Come up with a plan for your backyard and how you want it to look like.

After that, go ahead and trim and remove any dead or excessive plants, that way you can truly get a feel for what you have!

Adding A Fresh Coat Of Paint Can Do Wonders!

Posted in Real Estate on 11.08.09

man-painting-house-interiorSelling your home is something that is very, very difficult – especially in this market.  So when you do make the decision to sell your home, you need to make sure that you are putting the best home forward that you can, that way you can attract all sorts of potential buyers to the home.  One of the greatest ways to attract new buyers is by adding in a fresh coat of paint to the interior as well as the exterior of the house!

Ensuring that the interior looks as great as the exterior is the very first step to making your home beautiful.  After all, paint color is very important for the inside as well as the outside.  Most of the time, white is the standard color on the inside, as you want to make sure that you leave some options for the new home buyers.  However, adding in an accent wall or two is a fantastic idea to really showcase the house itself.

On the outside, it should be a pretty neutral color, as you want to attract buyers, not scare them away by painting the house an outrageous color!

Single Family Home Vs. Condominium: What’s Better?

Posted in Property, Real Estate on 08.08.09

Single Family HomeNothing in the world is as important as your first home – owning your own place is something to be proud of and I know that when I first got my home, it was so exciting!  Now the question on every first time home buyer’s mind seems to be whether they should get a single family home or a condo.  Condos – while fantastic, have some disadvantages and homes have some advantages – it is all about what you need.

One of the first things that you need to do is make sure that you take a look at the costs.  One thing that a condo has over a home is that it is usually a lot cheaper than purchasing a house – simply because you are in a building just like an apartment.  However – if you do not want to be stacked up like you are in an apartment, a home might be a better idea.

Another thing that you need to consider is going to be location and convenience – a home is very convenient most of the time as you can do anything you want to is, while a condo, you do not ever truly own it.

Buying a House After Bankruptcy: The Steps!

Posted in Bankruptcy, Real Estate on 07.08.09

BankruptcyBuying a home after filing for Bankruptcy is something that many people have no idea how to do.  Filing for Bankruptcy is a serious thing and it truly does mess with your credit score – your credit score is the thing that will allow lenders to trust you enough to lend you enough money to purchase a brand new house.  Your credit score will go down immensely when you file for Bankruptcy, but that does not mean that there is no way to recover from it.

Bankruptcy is not the end of the world, however – it will mess you credit up for quite a while and the first thing that you need to do, is make sure that you make all of your payments on time.  Showing the lenders that your payments are on time every month will help your credit get back in the green instead of the red.

Also, when you file for Bankruptcy, it depends which chapter you file for, but you might have to wait anywhere from one to three years in order to purchase a brand new house.

Power Washing: It Should Be Done!

Posted in Property, Real Estate on 02.08.09

power-washWhen you are trying to sell your house – there are so many little things that you probably do not think about.  One of them is most likely going to be power washing the outside of your home.  Recently, I had just the front of my house power washed and I was amazed at how incredible it looked.  It truly made a difference and if you really think about it – the very first thing that people see when they drive up to your house is going to be the front of it.

If the front of your house is really dirty, it has a less likely chance to sell versus if you have a clean front of the house.  Power washing is something that is very inexpensive too, so you shouldn’t have any problems getting someone to power wash the front of your house.

Keeping your house looking fresh and clean is just one of the many parts to selling your house – remember that!

Zero Down Home Loans: What Are They?

Posted in Money, Real Estate on 21.06.09

nri-home-loansOwning your own home is something that everyone in the world dreams about – however, if you do not have the means to own your own home, you have to get a mortgage.  Understanding mortgages and how they work is something that is very difficult, however, there are many different loans that will allow you to put down 0% and that is exactly what we are going to explore right now.  Usually, zero down loans are extremely difficult to find, but with the way that the real estate market is panning out, lenders are willing to let you put zero down.

One thing that you need to know whenever you are trying to be considered for a home loan with 0% down is that you have to have good credit.  Actually, the better the credit score, the better off you are going to be, so you might want to check out your credit score before you try and get one of these home loans.

Finally, interest rates on zero down home loans are usually higher, so that is something that you need to take into consideration as well.  Also, how long the loan is going to last is usually longer – so think about these things whenever you are considering a home loan with zero down!
